Fruit Day
2
By this My Father is
glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
John
15:8
Many parents have reminded their children to be good
representatives of the family when away from home. They teach their children
that poor behavior by one member of the family reflects negatively on the
entire family. If this principle is true, what message do we present for those who
know that we follow and believe in an Almighty God?
Are the fruit of the Spirit evidenced in us in ways that
honor God? Do our interactions show the joy we have because we follow the
ways of a heavenly Father that loves us all? Do we display
peace and patience during our ups and downs because we are faithful
and know that God has dominion over all? Do our actions model the kindness, goodness, and gentleness of Christ? Do we follow our
Savior who was crucified so that we all may have eternal life, regardless of
our past sins during times when we lost our self-control?
Unless we remain connected to God, we will struggle to honor Him. When we are disconnected from Him, we cannot produce His fruit. Let us remain plugged-in and broadcast to all that He deserves the honor, glory, and praise. Let us reveal the fruit of the Spirit in us.
