Spirit Day 16
23 But the hour is
coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit
and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is
Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

Our Almighty God is not limited like a physical being. He is
so great and grand that He cannot be encompassed by any material measurement.
It is through the spiritual nature of God that He is fully omnipotent. Even
more, it is through the spiritual nature that we have the Trinity of Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit.
Because God is Spirit, we should worship Him spiritually. Jewish
traditions involved physical ceremonies, rituals, and procedures that were
utilized for worship. Jesus, however, taught that we are to worship in spirit
and truth.
Worshiping God in truth does not come down to ceremonies but is a way of life. A life of worship involves sincerity and integrity, not hypocrisy. We can spend ample time trying to conform to traditional practices because that is the way it’s always been done. Jesus did not protest finding methods that are comfortable for worship. However, simply going through the routines and motions are not enough.
Worshiping God in truth does not come down to ceremonies but is a way of life. A life of worship involves sincerity and integrity, not hypocrisy. Let us worship our Spirit God, with a spiritual worship. Let
